Petter Nylander New CEO of Besedo – “Our ambition is to become the world leader in content moderation”

    Besedo protects businesses and individuals from online fraud attempts and reviews and moderates inappropriate content online. With customers like eBay, Match.com and new players in the sharing economy such as AirTasker and BlaBlaCar, the company is ready to meet the rapidly growing need for a safer Internet.

    – I love working with companies that are at the forefront of significant technology changes, says Petter Nylander. As chairman of the board in Besedo since 2011, I had the opportunity to invest in the company just over a year ago. I then decided that Besedo would be my next significant commitment. Besedo, with its exciting in-house AI technology, rides on major megatrends such as the sharing economy and digitalization. The company has a great history and has grown into a global company with over 300 employees in six countries on three continents. But Besedo has the potential to morph into a content moderation world leader. Being able to roll up my sleeves and take on a new CEO role was an offer I couldn’t refuse.

    Göran Pallmar, the major shareholder of Spiltan, takes over as chairman of the board

    Besedo’s most prominent owner is investment company Spiltan. Göran Pallmar, responsible for the investment in Besedo at Spiltan, now takes over the chair of the company after Petter. He welcomes Petter in his new role:

    – Having worked closely with Petter on the board for over a year, I am incredibly pleased that he is now taking over the role of CEO. His experience in building successful companies has been a great asset to the board. Besedo can today automate up to 90 per cent of its business, and the market is rapidly growing. I look forward to seeing Petter’s leadership qualities come to fruition, in order to pilot the company further in its ambition to become a market leader in content moderation.
