Assignment Manager (Hybrid Working in Malta)

We are looking to recruit an Assignment Manager who is passionate about people management, operations and data to make the online world a safer place.

The role of an Assignment Manager is at the heart of ensuring that our team runs smoothly and efficiently. This pivotal position involves overseeing and optimizing operations to meet budget and Service Level Agreements, assuming responsibility for team management, recruitment, training, and performance assessment, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, both internally and with the client. As an Assignment Manager, you'll be instrumental in driving success, seeking out opportunities for growth, and making a tangible impact on our organization's goals and objectives.

This role is based in Malta and occasional travel to other countries to meet clients or colleagues based in our other centres will be required.

Operational Management
• Team performance and Process Improvement.
• Submit statistical / performance / reports to direct line managers and the client(s) as required.
• Support in forecasting & scheduling activities to ensure that all shifts are manned through the correct staffing levels.
• Overall responsibility for implementation of new technical procedures and changes in the assignments.
• Ensure all assignments related manuals and instructions are updated.

Client(s) & Relationship Management
• Serve as the main day-to-day point of contact for the client(s) and manage internal and external communications.
• Understand the client(s)´s needs, identify new business opportunities and provide respective input to the Customer Success Manager and Product Development Team.
• Handle client(s) complaints in a proactive, professional and solution focused manner.
• Support the Customer Success Manager in developing new service proposals and contract renewals.

People Management
• Foster a team culture that is consistent with Besedo’s mission, vision and values.
• Inspire, coach, stimulate and motivate all team members, while ensuring discipline in the teams.
• Responsible for 1-2-1 appraisals in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Support Human Resources department in recruitment, interview, selection and hire.

Financial Management
• Evaluate the economic and operational development of the assignments through analysis of the P&L (financial) and statistical data (operational).
• Meeting assignment-specific profitability margins in accordance with targets.
• Monthly Client(s) Invoicing.

General
• Collaborates with other stake holders to achieve synergy within the business in line with the company’s vision and objectives.

Skills and Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have the following skills and requirements:

Essential Skills

Strong verbal and written English language skills. (German language skills would be an asset)
Passionate about data and with analytical skills to work with statistics and numerical data.

Desirable Experience Requirements 

Operational management
Working in cross-functional teams
Project management 
Experience in eCommerce, SaaS or technology environments
Understands the marketplace industry
