What Kaidee wanted to solve
Finding a faster, smarter way to moderate millions of ads
Kaidee relied on an outdated in-house moderation tool that could not keep pace with growth. Less than 20% of ads were moderated within five minutes, leading to frustrated users and heavy complaints.
Rebuilding the tool in-house would have taken six months of development time from Kaidee’s dev team. The backlog of listings, slow time-to-live, and operational drain meant they needed a faster, scalable solution.
How they solved it
Besedo’s AI + Rule-Based Automation
The first step: integrate Besedo’s rule-based filters with Kaidee’s core platform, map moderation policies, design acceptance/rejection rules, and customize the moderator UX.
Then: collect data via filters to train a custom AI model. By 2019, Kaidee reached ~85% automation and ensured the majority of ads were moderated rapidly. Human moderators still handle edge cases and constantly improve accuracy.
