Mathias eats and breathes marketplaces: Prior to launching Speedinvest x, he was a General Manager for the German market at Uniplaces, a marketplace for student accommodation. Before that, Mathias was a Principal at Point Nine Capital, a Berlin-based early-stage fund focused on SaaS and marketplaces.rnrnEarlier in his career, Mathias worked at Naspers, previously the parent company of online auction and classifieds platform ricardo.ch, where he was heading the M&A department of the group. He started his career as an Investment Manager at Zurich-based Mountain Partners Group. Mathias holds a german-french double-diploma from European School of Business Reutlingen and Neoma Business School Reims.

Daniel Hoffer has experience as current Managing Partner at Crux Capital and former Partner at Tandem Capital, both seed-stage venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. He is also co-founder and former CEO of CouchSurfing, a travel website with >15 million members across every country and city in the world, and a former Entrepreneur in Residence at Benchmark Capital.rnrnIn addition to the entrepreneurial experience, he has deep product management expertise from executive product roles at NortonLive (Symantec) and TripIt (Concur/SAP). Daniel has appeared on the cover of Inc. Magazine and been featured on the front page of the Boston Globe, as well as on ABC Nightline, NBC News, National Public Radio, and in the New York Times and Time Magazine. He has also been a guest lecturer at Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, and the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Columbia Business School.
